Mile-High Mass Timber: Exploring New Possibilities for Wood in Denver: Virtual Workshop
April 22, 2020 | Earn 2.5 AIA/CES HSW LUs, 2.5 PDH credits or 0.25 ICC credits, 9:00 am – 11:30 am MDT - $20

The City of Denver recently voted to adopt the 2019 Denver Building Code, which includes the tall mass timber code provisions approved for the 2021 International Building Code.  This workshop is for developers, design teams and contractors who want to better understand the new provisions and explore the use of mass timber in their projects. In addition to code requirements associated with three new Type IV construction sub-types, discussion will focus on aspects of design, engineering and construction that contribute to a smooth process and successful project—such as gravity and lateral systems, structural grid spacing, and construction strategies. We’ll also give a behind-the-scenes look at a new nine-story mass timber project under construction in Ohio known as INTRO, Cleveland. More Info & Registration
